Q. What is the significance of the SBI Probationary Officer (PO) examination?
Ans. The SBI PO examination is the most prestigious examination as far as bank examinations are concerned. A job in SBI puts a person in a league of his own.
SBI is the biggest bank in India and is among the top 100 banks in the world, it has a rich legacy and culture. It has the largest branch network and customer base in India.
Q. What is the frequency of the SBI PO examination ?

Q. What is the difference in Basic Pay between SBI PO and other PO posts ?
Ans The starting basic pay of a SBI PO is Rs 16,900 while the basic pay of other POs is Rs 14500/- with Rs 600 increment initially. So an SBI PO is already 4 increments higher than other POs. Please note that this is only Basic Pay and does not include any other allowance
Q. I am a final year graduate can I apply ?
Ans. Yes , you can apply , provided you can provide proof of your having passed the examination by 10.08.2014
Q. I have been giving SBI from the past many years can I apply ?
Ans. Your attempts will be counted from the SBI 2010 examination held on 18.04.2010, if you have not exceeded the attempts restriction from this date then you can apply. In other words it means that attempts given in earlier years shall not be counted. However if you have given any of the SBI PO April 2010, SBI PO August 2011, SBI PO April 2013 , these attempts will be counted, subject to applicable category attempts restrictions.
